    Software development and IT services company serving small to medium size organizations, and other software development shops. Working on all phases of software development for business solutions implemented for our customers. Solutions developed for PC workstation, client/server, and Web.

  • September 1998 - March 2001: Director of Development, Kirtland Associates, Inc., Troy, MI, USA
    Contributed to development of workers' compensation administration and claims processing applications, waste hazard tracking application, developed website to input state of Michigan First Report of Injury via Acrobat Reader, developed prototype order entry website. Managed all aspects of largest projects, assisted developers with most difficult debugging issues, and directed staff training. Worked with company owner to set corporate policies and direction, charged with hiring additional developers, worked with company owner on new sales opportunities, and evaluated developer performance.

  • January 1997 to September 1998: Advanced Systems Engineer, EDS, Troy, MI, USA
    Designed all new data warehouse for existing transaction processing system tracking automotive loans and improved performance of existing reporting system. Responsible for publishing FoxPro and Sybase database information to web pages for potential customer Intranet.

  • April 1992 to January 1997: Advanced Systems Engineer, EDS, Detroit, MI, USA
    Project Leader and lead developer for numerous LAN based applications in DOS and Windows. Developed in-house cross-platform FoxPro framework used on all team projects. Primary developer on adding collections enhancement to the auto loan tracking application in less than 24 hours, when the mainframe equivalent (with less features) took over 2 years to implement.

  • October 1989 to April 1992: Systems Engineer, EDS, Warren, MI, USA
    Lone PC developer on account of mainframe developers. Provided GM Tech Center Financial staff with PC application to track electronic signature authority, employee purchase referrals, and visitor security system which tracked people visiting GM and EDS facilities.

  • February 1986 to October 1989: Systems Analyst, UNISYS, Detroit, MI, USA
    Created and maintained COBOL batch reporting system, developed design and specifications for a complete rewrite of the reporting system in a fourth generation language on the mainframe. Installed PC hardware and implemented local area network.

  • July 1985 to January 1986: Assistant Systems Analyst, Genzlinger Associates, Troy, MI, USA
    Performed several system conversions to expand field sizes in a number of manufacturing application modules and installation of PC computers.

  • February 1985 to July 1985: Accounting Assistant, Sears, Troy, MI, USA
    Developed spreadsheet reports and data entry of the spreadsheets from mainframe reports, developed backup processes for disaster recovery and recommended downloading of mainframe data to eliminate the majority of data entry duplication.

  • July 1984: Geek, Sterling Heights, MI, USA
    Released first shareware application that printed banners on the TI-99/4A home computer. Two versions, premier version ran in full blown 48K memory, watered-down version ran in 16K memory. One registered user from California, total revenues: $5.00!
